What exactly does it mean to own something? Can you possess an object without ever seeing or touching it? Or does ownership demand both?

Contained within these raku fired eggs is a small sculpture. No one, has seen it in its final state. If seeing and/or touching it is required, then the egg may be left out-of-doors, where, in freezing temperatures it will literally explode and reveal its contents.

And so, the owner must make the choice: to maintain the egg, which has it own inherent beauty and allow the contents to remain hidden, or to expose the contents, thereby destroying the egg.
